Bringing Art to Your Neighborhood

Community Canvas started out like most cool projects, as a simple idea: What if we inspire each other to do more of what we love—  make art?

It’s happening. We’re taking that idea a step further and not only making art but sharing it with our community. Every artist that becomes a part of Community Canvas offers a new perspective. And it’s such a great feeling to see your artwork displayed and to discuss it with your neighbors at the art opening. We have so many talented members in our community. Are you one of them? Join us on this fun adventure. Scroll down for more information.

If you’re an aspiring artist, an established artist, an art buyer, or just a simple art enthusiast, please contact us for ways to get involved! We are open to ideas for growth and engagement.

For now, we're glad you're here.

Our very first show took place on Friday, June 6th, 5:30-6:30pm at Oakview Coffee. Oakview Coffee, formerly Kavarna, sits right in the heart of Oakhurst Village and is the perfect place to showcase local works of art. We are so thankful they’ve volunteered their space to promote our project. If you are a business owner in the area and would like to host a show, please contact us.

Check out some of the most recent works of art below.

You can see them in person until September 1st.

Are you an artist?

Yes, well, kind of. I dabble. I used to be. I haven’t created in years.

Maybe it’s been a very long time since you picked up a brush, a piece of charcoal, or your camera. We know you have it in you - the need to create. The purpose for starting this group is to revive and awaken that creative spirit that seemed to disappear once you became a Busy Adult. Don’t be too busy to make art! Challenge yourself to create again. Make the time for it. You deserve it. You know you need it. And we need to see it. Don’t keep all that talent to yourself. That’s right— time to dust of those art supplies.

Maybe you create all the time, but just for you, just for fun. Why not show us what you’ve got? Why not be a part of a super cool group? Let’s celebrate your vision. Take advantage of an amazing space to hang up some of your work— put it out there for the world to see. Well, maybe not the world… but your friends will want to come have a look, right?

Either way, click the button below to fill out a short questionnaire and get involved!
